Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey, who also serves as NC Fire Marshal, reminds everyone about the Move Over Law which requires drivers to move over and change lanes to give safe clearance to law enforcement officers, firefighters, ambulances, utility workers, and in some cases, tow-truck drivers and disabled vehicles. There have been a few cases of North Carolina first responders injured due to people not observing this law. We will be putting out more information on the Move Over Law in the coming weeks.
